Classes are currently held  Wednesdays, September to May, at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 1818 5 Avenue South, starting at 7:00pm.

 

No partner required.  Bring soft-soled shoes and a water bottle.

Club Classes Classes are held every Wednesday of each month, September to May, from 7:00 to about 9:15 p.m. Classes are a mixture of technique, familiar dances, new dances and social dancing. For the most part, classes are mixed level (basic and beginner through experienced and advanced) where the teachers accommodate all levels of dancing experience and expertise. Classes are as follows: First Wednesday: Regular class 7:00-9:15 pm. Newcomers class 7:00-7:45 pm, then join regular class 7:45-9:15 pm. Second Wednesday: Mixed class 7:00-9:15 pm. Emphasis on technique for all levels of dancers. Third Wednesday: Regular class 7:00-9:15 pm. Newcomers class 7:00-7:45 pm, then join regular class 7:45-9:15 pm. Fourth Wednesday: Social dance (all levels of dancers) 7:00-9:15 pm with dance program distributed in advance and mid-evening refreshment break. In months with a fifth Wednesday, the Social dance is held on that Wednesday and the fourth Wednesday is used for an extra Mixed class. Friday mornings: Seniors' classes are held at 10:30 at the Lethbridge Seniors Centre at 500 11 Street South at 10:30 AM. Members are eligible to receive a subsidy of $85 to attend one Alberta Scottish Country Dance workshop in Calgary, Edmonton, Medicine Hat or Red Deer each year. No partner is required. Brings soft soled shoes and a water bottle. Come and join us at any time.
